Compliance & Annual Renewals

Registration is a day. Compliance is every year after it. We keep the vessel and the owning company in good standing so nothing quietly lapses.

What is compliance & annual renewals?

Once a vessel is registered, both it and its owning company carry recurring obligations: the registration is renewed, the company files its annual returns, and the vessel's statutory certificates run to their own expiry dates.

Where the vessel operates commercially, ISM, ISPS and MLC 2006 add their own audit and certification cycles. Compliance management is the work of tracking all of those dates, preparing the filings, and dealing with the flag administration and the classification society on the owner's behalf.

Who is it for?

Owners with no in-house team

Where nobody is watching the renewal dates full time.

Commercial operators

Vessels carrying ISM, ISPS or MLC obligations.

Owning companies

Maltese companies with annual filing obligations of their own.

Owners with a lapsed registration

We can also remediate a registration that has already fallen behind.

What you get

  • ISM, ISPS and MLC 2006 compliance managed.
  • Class and flag state liaison on your behalf.
  • One point of contact for the vessel and the company.

How the process works

Onboarding

We map every renewal date and obligation attached to the vessel and the company.

Calendar

We build the compliance calendar and share it with you.

Execution

We handle filings, renewals and survey bookings on time.

Reporting

You get a clear status update, not a pile of paperwork.

Requirements

  • Access to the vessel's current certification and the company's records.
  • Authority to act as your representative with the flag administration.
  • Survey access, where a statutory survey falls due.

Please note. Eligibility is assessed case by case by the Malta flag administration. Send us the vessel details and we will confirm what applies to you before you commit.

Documents you will need

  • Current certificate of registry
  • The vessel's statutory and class certificates
  • Owning company records — incorporation, shareholding and last filings
  • ISM, ISPS and MLC documentation, where the vessel operates commercially

Please note. Indicative list. The exact file the registry asks for depends on the vessel, its age and the regime it is registered under — we confirm your list in writing before anything is filed.
